William Henry Harrison’s Grouseland was a gracious Georgian mansion built between 1802 and 1804 in Vincennes, Indiana. As Indiana Territorial Governor, Harrison provided Lewis and Clark with valuable maps and information before their exploration of the west. Lewis and Clark visited Harrison at Grouseland on their return journey in October 1806, thanking him for his assistance.
