The Inn and Tavern at the Meanders in Locust Dale, Virginia was originally the home of Joshua Fry, co-surveyor with Peter Jefferson. Together they created the famous ‘Map of the Inhabited Parts of Virginia’ (Fry-Jefferson Map) in 1751. This map was an important cartographic resource for early American exploration.
